About Michael
Michael L. Lieberman is Of Counsel at Omni Law P.C., where he handles the firm’s tax matters. He is also a partner at Blais Halpert Tax Partners LLP in Boston. He has more than 40 years of experience practicing tax law in Boston and New York City.
Michael has worked on many hundreds of significant M&A transactions and IPOs for public and private companies, private equity and venture capital funds, and management teams. His practice also covers real estate tax planning, including acquisitions and sales for developers and investors, sale-leasebacks, like-kind exchanges, cross-border investment, and special real estate tax incentives. He represents taxpayers, accountants, and their clients in tax controversies at the protest, appeals, and Tax Court levels. He also structures settlements and awards from private disputes and government investigations so they are as tax efficient as possible.
Before joining Blais Halpert, Michael chaired the Tax Section at Mintz Levin for more than 20 years.
